I hope it is alright to put this here, I dont quite know where else. Roy had a turn on Tuesday on the walk, came over grey and couldnt get his breath, and we have been in and out of the hospital since. They think it is his heart and they are pleased with him now, but it has been a frightening few days and I have not slept. The dog doesnt understand where he is. I am sorry to bring gloom into the Snug, I just wanted to tell someone who would understand, and you all feel like friends.

Anne my love you bring it straight here, that is what we are for. You tell Roy the whole down is asking after him and he is not allowed to do a single daft thing. And you, you eat something and sit down, I know your sort, youll be running on tea and worry. We are all thinking of you both .

Thinking of you Anne. Roy struck me as a tough old boot the once we met at the canal day, he will mend. Anything wants running anywhere, I am slow but I am willing.

Holding you both in my thoughts, Anne, in whatever way you find welcome. Hospitals are wretched for the waiting. Be as kind to yourself as you are being to Roy.

I cannot thank you all enough. He is home. Cross as two sticks at being told to rest, which the nurse says is the best sign there is. We read your messages out in the ward and he got quite gruff, which is Roy being touched. The dog has not left his feet since he walked in. Bless you all, you have no idea what it meant.
