got a little drone for christmas and ive been flying it over the strip lynchets on the down, the old plough terraces. from the air they just leap out at you, great green steps down the hillside you'd never clock from the ground. stuck a clip up. anyone know how old theyre reckoned to be?

Strip lynchets, and good clear ones. Medieval in the main, some perhaps earlier and reused. From the air is the only honest way to read them. You have done in an afternoon what cost me a theodolite and a fortnight in 1985. I am, of course, not in the least bitter.
